Zero Point Motion attended Amsterdam Drone Week

Between 21st and 23rd March, Amsterdam Drone Week took place at RAI Amsterdam. Zero Point Motion’s Executive Chairman Gordon Aspin, Client Relationship Manager Rajeev Dattani and Software Engineer Tsz Hey Lam went along to find out the latest news in UAVs and the impact that drones could have on a range of industrial challenges.

Amsterdam Drone Week is a global platform for sharing knowledge on current air solutions, potential innovations and vital regulations.

Zero Point Motion’s optically enhanced inertial sensors can be used for position and tracking of drones in environments where GNSS signals are deteriorated or denied, such as in urban areas for last mile delivery or underground.

Talking about the event, “It was fascinating to see how the technology for drones has progressed,” said Tsz “in particular the areas where our inertial sensors could potentially have immediate impact, however the regulations need to catch up with the technology. For example, it is clear that urban areas are challenging and this is where our technology can bridge the gap, enabling positioning and navigation in this difficult environment.”
