Creative Tuition Collective

Zero Point Motion are proud to support Bristol-based non-profit Creative Tuition Collective (CTC). CTC has a mission to bring positive and long-lasting change in STEM education by providing mentorship and academic support to the specific needs of underrepresented communities. In the last three years, they have impacted 2,000+ young people, providing workshops, mentoring, and teacher training. In 2024, they will continue to enhance STEM engagement in Bristol schools as well as partner with Photonics Ghana, extending their global mission beyond the UK.

The donation from ZPM will firstly provide photonics explorer kits for an outreach program with Photonics Ghana co-run by Dr. Justice Archer. It will also enable CTC to provide tailored online or in-person tutoring across all STEM subjects to five students in the summer of this year. This initiative will support underprivileged students in physics and mathematics, empowering them to excel academically and offering vital assistance during their examinations.

About supporting CTC, CEO Lia Li said: “I met Lara in 2019 at a University of Bristol conference where we spoke at an ED&I panel. I was so impressed with her mission and work ethic as well as her passion for science. I’m really proud to be able to support the amazing non-profit that she has founded and nurtured.”

About Creative Tuition Collective

Creative Tuition Collective (CTC) is a non-profit organisation, founded on a decolonial approach to equalising the educational playing field for disadvantaged youth. We have made it our mission to build confidence in young people from lower income backgrounds, through providing them with a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Ultimately, it is our vision to create a world in which a child's access to a good education and opportunities to succeed is not limited by the circumstances in which they are born. Our mission and vision are global aspirations. It is our desire to not only operate in vulnerable and high deprivation areas within the UK but to also replicate our work across Africa, Asia and South America.
