SPIE PHOTONEX 21

During 29-30th September Lia had the pleasure of attending PHOTONEX 2021 (SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics) in Glasgow to talk about optomechanical inertial sensors in the Emerging Applications in Silicon Photonics session.

Held at the Glasgow SEC Centre, we had sunshine throughout and it was wonderful to see colleagues and meet new people face to face (wearing masks!). Lia enjoyed having lunch with two amazing researchers at UCL; Farah Comis (middle) completing a PhD in yield analysis of Kerr frequency combs and Manyu Dang who is completing a PhD in molecular beam epitaxy. Fingers crossed for future collaborations!
